Every year Antigua hosts a ‘Sailing Week’ which is a big regatta with more than 1500 participants and an average of 200 yachts. Antigua Sailing Week runs over 5-10 days with a number of races at various location around Antigua and Beach Parties. Of not everyone can take part in such a big event, especially if you don’t have a yacht! Nearly all of the hotels offer some sort of sailing, mostly on small laser boats (big enough for 2 people at a time). If you are staying with a hotel/resort then usually the non-motorised water-sports are free, but be sure to check with them first.
